Please note: The Monday, February 18, 4 pm class will be guest taught by recently certified Kripalu Yoga Teacher, Deborah Reinke. Congratulations, Deborah, on completing the Kripalu Yoga Teacher Training program.
Once again, the two Tuesday morning classes will combine as one, meeting at 9:30 am. This will be David’s first teaching experience following his hip replacement surgery that occurred on February 4. Thanks for your patience.

Mondays 3-4 pm: Free Yoga for Cancer patients and Cancer Survivors (or anyone coping with a health challenge). This free class meets every week, and is sponsored by the Beth Wright Cancer Center of Ellsworth, and Blue Hill Memorial Hospital.
Mondays 4-5:30 pm (Guest Teacher 2/18) Open to All. A Yoga class designed to build strength and flexibility in a balanced way, with instruction in Centering, breathing, alignment,Yoga’s spiritual roots, and guided restorative relaxation.
Tuesdays 7:30-9 am (Class will meet at 9:30 am on 2/19, and be a combined class) Deepen and strengthen your Yoga! A varied practice that incorporates attention to alignment, breath, mindfulness, balance, and restoration, with David’s ongoing attention to Yoga’s classic, perennial spiritual teachings.
Tuesdays 9:30-11 am: (7:30 am class will meet at this time as combined class on 2/19) Ongoing Beginner/Gentle class, rich in centering technique, alignment awareness, support for interoception of the body’s messages, restoration, and spiritual uplift. Often includes some mantra practice, and David’s bamboo Indian flute music.
Thursdays 4:30-6 pm: Deepening Your Exploration of Yoga: A varied practice incorporating attention to alignment, breath, mindfulness, centering technique, inversions, and deep restoration. Includes Mantra Yoga (sound healing).
Fridays 8:30-9:45 am: (Guest teacher 2/15)nYoga for new and continuing students. Includes teaching in foundations of meditation, freeing your breath, and quieting your mind. Includes guided deep relaxation.

Caroline earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Wright Institute in Berkeley CA., completed a Yoga Teacher Training at ShivaShakti School of Yoga, and trained as an Ayurvedic Wellness Consultant with Dr. David Frawley, founder of the American Institute of Vedic Studies. She offers an integrative approach, incorporating yoga postures, breathing exercises and mantra in the service of psychological healing and health.

Class Fees: A 1.5 hour drop-in class is $15. An 8-class bundle is $112. 75-minute classes are $13, and $96 for eight. This is a sliding scale. Please feel free to break up payments.

Work individually with David Walker, one of the most experienced Yoga Therapists in New England.
Individual sessions are $75 per hour, with a reduced rate of $65 for six private sessions paid in advance. David has studied extensively with Doug Keller, one of the world’s foremost experts on anatomy and Yoga, author of Yoga As Therapy volumes I and II. David has also studied with Bessell van der Kolk, MD, and David Emerson, experts in Trauma Recovery. David Emerson is author of Overcoming Trauma Through Yoga: Reclaiming Your Body. Van der Kolk is professor of psychiatry at Boston University and the world’s leading expert on Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. David is well-versed in Iyengar Restorative and Therapeutics, having studied extensively with Chicago Yoga Circles’ Gabriel Halpern, as well as Patricia Walden, Kofi Busia, and John Schumacher, and other Senior Iyengar Teachers.
David and Caroline studied in July 2016 with Senior Iyengar Teacher John Schumacher, one of the most experienced American teachers in the Iyengar tradition. Caroline completing her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training with ShivaShakti of Rockland, Maine, in October 2016. She completed an advanced pranayama training with ShivaShakti in May of 2016. Caroline received certification from the American Institute for Vedic Studies as an Ayurvedic Wellness Consultant, also in 2016. David studied again with Patricia Walden 2015, at the Maine Iyengar Center, and in 2014 with Manouso Manos. Walden and Manos are the only Senior Advanced Iyengar Yoga Teachers in the world. In August 2014, David studied with Marcia Monroe, author of Yoga and Scoliosis (with Dr. Loren Schiffman). David completed Yoga For Cancer Survivors training at the Beth Wright Cancer Center in Ellsworth, Maine, September 2014.
